A morning o’clock (with a JORD wood watch GIVEAWAY!) {CLOSED}

Morning!

The hubs sometimes shies away from the highlight of the outfits posts for the blog, but believe me when I say that he is not an Instagram husband always stuck at the other side of the camera. Not at all. He likes to think about his outfits too, and although he has a steady laid-back style, always tries to add a little touch of his personality by bringing in a (cat, Star Wars, you mention!) pin, a colorful wool hat or scarf. One thing he absolutely loves (LOVES) is wearing a watch because it’s more than an outfit choice for him.

You must imagine Daniel’s happy face when JORD contacted to offer us a gorgeous wood watch. Since his last Casio watch stopped working, he has been hesitant to how he could substitute it by keeping a similar flair. We have been admiring for a while wood watches and eye-frames. The wood material gives me a cozy feeling, specially for autumn (the orange & red colors are a perfect match!) and winter, while plastic is more summery. What do you think? Is it all in my head? ha!

All JORD watches come with a sturdy wood box that has also a little drawer. I had already seen it on some pictures but it wasn’t until it was at home that I realized how great the packaging is. I am obsessed with boxes, so I guess it already triggered that instant love in me.

Juno loves to smell new things, she is the supervisor in our home!

We were able to add the engraving to the back, which instantly makes your watch unique, right? Dani chose our initials, DDJ standing for Damaris, Daniel and Juno. So all the family is there with him now, all the time.

I think having a watch is more than an outfit add-on for Daniel, it’s part of a treat of his personality: he loves being punctual. I like to think he has indeed helped me in that department a lot too, I don’t like people waiting for me and I understand how rude it can be. Still, I am not that good as him checking commuting times (always a work in progress!). Which type are you, do you need to leave way before just in case?

Daniel introduced me this weekend to one of his favorite spots next to his office, that happens to also sell plants & pottery besides being a trendy coffee shop, called Espai Joliu. We had an avocado toast and a cake, a matcha latte and a regular latte, while checking the cutest mini cactus.
