Happy anniversary

Today is our anniversary!

It’s our 6+17 anniversary! We celebrate double today because we decided to get married the same exact day we started dating, so I always keep a double account of years because the two dates are equally meaningful for us.

Here they both are:

6 years ago…

We got married on a gorgeous gray autumn day. It was predicted to rain, but the umbrella was finally only a prop for our pictures. I remember how I was super calm dressing at home, because I was happy to be able to celebrate our wedding just like we wanted (with a small intimate ceremony & laid-back lunch after) and was very sure I was marrying the love of my life.

17 years ago…

We took this picture a few months after we started dating, we were here 19 and definitely looked like outlaws, ha! This was our first getaway date, we went skiing in a nearby resort. Daniel used to ski with his parents every winter, but it was my first time ever. Fate put a big snow storm in our day, which kept me away from learning to ski, but we had such a blast trying to brave the snow & then playing games inside the cabin that I couldn’t wish for anything different.

I am so thankful to have met the perfect partner to share adventures, we were only 19 but have grown to be the most compatible souls and the most loving human parents to Juno. I wouldn’t change any single second of those 6+17!

eep you guys!!! I love seeing your cute 19 year old photo and your gorgeous wedding shot! I had to do a double take on the 17 year thing – gosh! I knew you were together forever but 17 years really is a long time. So nice you found each other early and got to ride the adventure of life together!! Yay for love!!!
