Cinque Terre: the film

Cinque Terre the film - The cat, you and us

Hello lovelies! How was your weekend? Ours involved lot of (spring/summer) cleaning at home – duh- but also some fun activities like a photo press exhibition at our beloved CaixaForum (that we have featured in a couple of posts before) and discovering a new yummy tapas place that we are already craving to visit again.

Inspired by the amazing travel films we have lately seen on some of our favorite blogs we thought it might be fun to try to squeeze between the many many pics some video recording during our trips starting at Cinque Terre. We are just now starting recording with our dslr, before we had our attempts with the phone which I find easier although with different results, so we are still trying to get the hang of it and specially of the editing process (ohmy! big appreciation for all color editing aces out there) but we had surely lot of fun putting together all these little silly scenes. The film strikingly take us back to the wonderful memories we built at the gorgeous Italian lands, hope you enjoy the ride too!

Which was your favorite scene from the film? Do you have any tips on video editing? Which type of songs do you chose for your videos?

Lemon Slushie! Oh my gosh you guys, how are you so good at everything! This was the cutest film ever – your photos come to life with adorable music to accompany! I give anyone who makes videos the biggest high fives – the editing is just insane and really put me off making videos, although you guys have definitely inspired me again! How crazy are those guys for jumping too!

10/10 for your film making and making me smile *round of applause* :) :)

Awww Fee! Thanks for being such a super sweet supporter of our crazy adventures! Can’t agree more with the word you chose, video editing IS insane, but Dani always has had the bug for video so although I ended up exhausted this time I’m sure I’m going to jump the first second Dani mentions to record a video again ;)

Awwww thanks Mei!!! We used Adobe Premiere Pro this time, but we have used also Vegas studio and Windows Movie Maker before :) We also used afterwards VSCO color grading with Lightroom. You should totally record some bits in Barcelona!!!! It would be so much fun, I always enjoy your videos a lot!

I loved everything about it – did you use color grading with VSCO? I tried it on my videos from time to time but always got so frustrated in making sure the color was right for all scenes. I love your video footage captures. So sweet :) And the music! I always always always love your music choices! Gonna have to find it and put it on repeat today :)

Taaaank you so much Jane! ♥ We indeed used VSCO color grading, we first though adjusted it with Premier Pro color video effects and then once the temperature was (more or less) right on every scene we exported it and then uploaded it to Lightroom and used the same VSCO film & tools for the complete video. It is VERY frustrating! I have been so focused in the color that every time I still can see something I would have changed :)

  6. This video is so beautiful! I love how you can hear the sounds of Cinque Terre behind the music :) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

Thaaaaaanks Audrey!!!! It was one of the things we knew we had to keep, all the wonderful sounds of the birds and the sea waves splashing we heard every day and that I miss so much right now. We also heard looots of crickets every night, but unfortunately we don’t have those recorded in the video! :)

Ok. Although I am super impressed by your editing skills as this looks so bloody great… (and the place you visited looks super relaxing) but I just can’t get over how cute you guys look. You’re like this epitome of cute couples – in the bestest way possible.

Simply delightful blog, and extremely useful and informative. Really beautiful photographs also. Fortuitously discovered by way of Trip Advisor, but far the most informative for the trip I had in mind. Thankyou for your insite and engaging presentation…. Regards
