Shadows and lights, so many in my daily life lately, which make me feel in a quite emotional roller coaster. But again (I’m stubborn) let’s focus on the later, on the many lights that are coming. This summer, that I don’t know why this year my head is resisting to believe is already here, must bring me laughs, positivity & fun, because it always does, so why this should be different, right? The summer also brings a beautiful light every morning laying on every corner of our home, specially on weekends when we are able to enjoy it at its fullest and when we see how Juno interacts with it.
It’s fun how this pastime which I would have thought rather dull a few years ago, now, that I have a cat, I find it fascinating: I can spend lots of time just watching her interact with the light, sometimes hiding from it, and sometimes chasing like a pro. I then become a chaser myself of her, with my phone in hand trying to capture those precious stills, so everytime that low moments come (those former acclaimed shadows) I can look at them to cheer me up, to think how lucky I am to have Juno in our lives, how I have become a crazy cat lady ;)
Oh! Can’t end this post without giving you Juno’s chasing report. Unfortunately she still has not been able to hunt down that flicky light, but although she may look disappointed in the pictures, she will not give any respite and next morning will continue her adventures.
And now your turn, do you stare to your cat’s endeavours for longer period of times that you would dare to reveal? Also, happy 4th of July weekend to all our American readers! and happy belated Canada day! Please forgive If I’m losing track of any other festivity around, let me know, I love to learn about holidays everywhere (loving holidays, y’know!)
I loooove when cats are chasing lights and that
red light dot :P Go Juno go! Catch that ray of
light! Xx
Hahaha! I’ll let Juno know she has your encouragement;)
Those photos are stunning! What an adorable cat.
And thank you for the 4th of July wishes!
Thanks Cory! Wishing you the nicest long weekend!
Ahh this is so sweet. Cats are so awesome, I think they do teach you to slow down, I had a cat nap with Gremlin this afternoon :) Maybe that’s too much slowing down :P but I agree, it’s so nice to just watch them, I especially like to watch Gremlin play and be silly. I hope summer does bring you lots of happy light!! and lots of cat cuddles on those dark days.
Thanks Fee! I am a little bit happier today, but I’ll try to make Juno believe I still need her cuddles to cure me, nurse Juno is a cutie! ;) Oh, Gremlin what a sweet guy, I’ll also cat nap with him if I could :)
WOW! These photos are amazing, would you mind me asking what camera & lens you use? Just found your blog through a comment on Skunkyboy – Hello from a new follower Leigh xx

Gatsby love chasing both shadows and lights. Rick calls him “Shadow Hunter.”
Hahaha, anything with hunter always makes me think about Troll hunter, ooops, my geeky mind ;) “Gatsby, the Shadow Hunter” is a really nice name/title!
