How is spring going for you so far? I have seen snowy pictures from New York and other US cities illustrating that first day of spring, quite not the image I had in mind when longing for the new season to come. Specially when I’ve shyly started to add a few new pieces to my spring/summer wardrobe and I’m more than ready to wear them right away. Do you also feel the urge to wear that new piece almost right after you are running out of the store? When I’m in the fitting room I already imagine how I will wear it, therefore the next day I’m ready to try that outfit to see if it works in real life. Sometimes it really doesn’t, but that’s also fine because it gives you more play time to hunt through your closet for another one – positive thinking!
A few weekends ago a new edition of one of my favorite clothing markets took place in Barcelona: the “Susi sweet dress” was back and I was there the first day to grab a piece. I end up buying two skirts (10€ each which is a steal, right?), one t-shirt and a fancy pastel blue dress, which I hope will soon be able to show them to you! That was Friday and Saturday (I went twice, don’t judge me!) therefore on Sunday I knew I had to wear one of them for our “mom is here”-walking-around date. I was lucky because, unlike what has happened this last weekend, it was warm enough to wear the springy skirt (with tights though!) and a short sleeve t-shirt (with my warmest cardigan trick!).
The t-shirt is also new from Pull & Bear. It has a big “yay” embroidered in my pocket, I like to think Jiminy cricket is there shouting positive messages to my ear.
In case you were wondering, pictures were taken at Parc de la Ciutadella, a good place to visit if you ever come to Barcelona but want to forget about the city for a while. The park is near el Born and Barceloneta districts, both a must, which is extra convenient!
Have you already transitioned to your spring wardrobe? Do you have any tricks to combine both? Mine would be tights (even two layers of them) – that’s an easy one, I know. I always find the shoes the hardest part, booties do scream winter but still too cold for sandals or even sneakers?

Cute outfit and a good choice to welcome spring :) I too want to wear new things straight away – too exciting not too! I love love that big window in the last two shots, very pretty and I like the happy ‘YAY!” (how could you not feel happy wearing that!)
The windows are from an old greenhouse in the park that unfortunately it is usually closed to the public, still the building is a beauty and a great place to take pics, maybe with a softer light than the one we had though! ♥

Thanks sweetie!! I also had my eye on the polka dot skirt, but finally it was my friend Anna who bought it, she looks great in it. They are quite thick, seem of a good material in person. I can totally picture you rocking it, with one of your cute hats!
I love the skirt and the fabric and print! so spring :) there are a few fabrics i want to get a hold of and also dresses and shirts i would like for spring. the weather is definitely getting warmer which is getting me especially excited :)
I also fell in love with the print, it reminds me so much about spring/summer picnics tablecloth in a good way! :)
