The hike did finally happen and here we have some pictures to prove it. Do you remember how I’ve been babbling about my mom coming for the Easter’s weekend and wishing to take me out of home for a hike? Well… I finally went along with it.
I tend to have hermit seasons when anything involving leaving the house for more than 3 hours seems like a huge milestone. Luckily I followed the flow of my mom and Dani, but instead of the original plan, which involved more logistics, we agreed on a baby step of choosing one in Barcelona called Passeig de les Aigües.

Passeig de les aigües is a popular walk in one of Barcelona’s mountains, called Collserola, that goes around it for 8 km. One of the best assets of this walk is that you are constantly having Barcelona’s view by one of your side. Although it may sound hard to believe, it was our first time going there, and had a little rocky yet funny start.
The walk has three official entrances that are easily reachable by public transport, car or walking. However, with a quick look on Google maps I realized that we could start walking near our home all the way up there, following what seemed a more straight route. And straight it was but also steep, very (!) steep: it was the narrowest path on the mountainhill (harder parts obviously not pictured). Although at first I was a little worried about my mother, she was a champ, the best of us and climbed like a happy sheep. It certainly was our conversation for the rest of the hike, ha!

On a more fashion related news, I’ve recently bought this sweater from COS and the colors instantly won me over as it reminded me of a painting by Mondrian, with the blue, yellow and red. It’s so easy to wear with just some jeans because the bright colors already give that punch. I haven’t paid much attention to this store until now because I always fall in love with quirky items (can’t help it) and at COS they have a more minimalistic nordic style, however I think the pitch-perfect cuts and good fabrics make them great quality basics, so I’ll keep an eye on it.

Hope you enjoyed the views! Thanks for walking with us during this pretty day of spring.
Do you also haven’t visited something in your city or town that is widely popular but somehow always tend to forget it? Which are your favorite spring plans?

Qué chulas han quedado las fotos, mereció la pena el esfuerzo, para subir a la montaña, solo para poder disfrutar después y recordar ese día tan especial.
I quite often miss out on seeing the popular spots in my area :P I think it’s because I don’t really like going to places where there are too many other people. But there are lots of people there for reasons! Your hike was so scenic :D -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
Oh you’re sweater is so cute and yay you went for your hike, looks like incredible views – so picturesque! My little bro visited around easter and we climbed a mountain too. I was really worried he wouldn’t be able to do it because he is only little (well 13! always little to me!) but then I was the one to totally freak out about how steep it was :P :P
I love playing tourist in my own town, but I wish we had more spots to hike in Holland. Since moving to The Hague I love going to the beach and the dunes. Your hike looks incredibly scenic! So nice you got to go there with your family.
And I love your sweater! :D
