Tartan for Christmas

I can’t think of another clothing pattern that screams Christmas louder than tartan, right?

The fun thing is, that although I am gingham/tartan addicted all year round, I think this is the first time I will be wearing it for our Christmas celebrations.

This year would be a rather different one, we have always spent the 24th at night at our home with the close family, the 25th at Dani’s parents home and the 26th (which is also a festive day in Catalunya called “Sant Esteve”) with Dani’s family.

We are changing things a little bit for the first time and will be at my auntie’s home in Madrid for the 24th & 25th with all my nephews & cousins. I have to admit that I feel the same excitement from when I was a kid, to be back at Madrid during Christmas with my cousins brings back so many good memories from my childhood. As kids we always visited an automat robots spectacle, played Street Fighter in the Super Nintendo, and had all the neighbors kids getting in&out to play video games with us. I remember going to visit the Three Kings (they bring presents to the kids in Spain the 6th of January) together with my two cousins, sitting in their laps and asked them for many many many gifts because we had been good all year long.
