One month ago, during the last days of January, we had our first blogger meet up when Deniz (Photostorming) & Türker came to visit Barcelona and we took some pics that we think would be fun to share – no matter how late it is, oops! As anticipation, the previous days I had that type of feelings when at the same time you’re very excited and looking forward something mixed with some clairvoyance moments realizing you’re in fact the shiest person out there and the most probable thing is that I wasn’t able to say a single sensible thing.
Of course when we met I discovered the same lovely Deniz behind the words I read in her blog. Both had a wonderful conversation and were friendly and funny. Thankfully they had lots of interesting stories to tell about their country and their traditions, which I always find fascinating, and of course we talked a little about Barcelona and their plans here.
We had a lunch at a Catalan tapas restaurant called El Velódromo, which we thought would fit nicely with their architectonical and decoration tastes, luckily they seemed to agree! The restaurant is located in an old bar which has been remodelled wisely keeping the retro charm with their green couches and lamps.
Deniz and Türker are unstoppable creators and also seized their trip to take pictures and make some interviews with local artists for the new edition of their magazine called match up. The magazine is in Turkish but they have recently launched a website with some content translated in case you’re curious to see. One fun note, one of the models they booked for a photo-shoot of a clothing line, is one of my work colleagues, I think he performed great!
Thanks Deniz & Türker for your kindness, I hope you’re ready to deal with us again in the future!
Have you ever had a blogger/internet-friend meeting? How was it?
