Catweek: Pink cat, blue cat

Pink coat, cat outfit - The cat, you and us

We couldn’t think about catweek without an outfit session. We were delighted to have an excuse to wear our cat-inspired clothing but always trying to stay on the fence so it doesn’t become too costume-y, specially when the occasion requires bringing in as many cat things as possible, doesn’t it?

The first place that came to our minds while planning this photo shoot was a little alley that’s quite near our home, which we visit often because it makes you forget you’re in a big city. The lovely alley is surrounded by bigger condo buildings but instead you can find here little colored houses each one with a front garden. And to even add more town charm, you can often spot cats travelling from his garden to another neighbor’s porch. A delightful corner that makes us walk slower so we can linger a little longer without scaring the residents.

I like to believe that Juno has performed an enchantment where every time I see a kitty patterned clothing I have to exclaim an “awww” followed by a “I should try it on, right Dani?” and the enchantment must extend to Dani because his answer is always “of course!”

I’m magnifying the situation just a tiny bit, but the reality is that since we have Juno and this silly blog of ours we are more drawn towards growing our cat-inspired closet. Which is not weird because whenever in a store I always tend to favour everything with a quirky pattern, specially with animals or plants on it.

I love cat inspired fashion, and it looks like you had so much fun shooting this!

I have a few cat pieces in my wardrobe. One is a skirt that from far away looks like polka dots, but is actually really tiny cat faces! I also have an assortment of cat brooches which are always fun to look for at the second hand store.

Awww love those type of eye tricky patterns as well, that you can wear them knowing that who doesn’t pay attention would think they are dots or lines :) cat brooches! I should keep an eye close in second hand stores, thanks for the tip!
