Today we are starting the celebrations of the 2nd anniversary of this little blog of ours, and what a better way to start celebrating than giving presents? Or receiving in your case! As we had so much fun last year buying, then packing and sending to the winner (hello Denysia!) a gift package we knew we had to repeat it for a second year in a row. This time we are inspired by the summer to bring you two super fresh gifts: a Don Fisher “carpa” fish bag and a fruity Sonny Angel blindbox, both of them two favorite of ours!

We discovered Don Fisher thanks to our dear Festivalet Christmas handmade market and fell in love with all of their lovely bags. For those who don’t know them, they create fun & super detailed bags inspired by the sea with collections including lots of fish varieties such as trout, carp, sardine, and so on. We fell in love specially with their detailed interiors and good finishing details. I don’t need to repeat how sea-obsesed I’ve lately been, so it’s no wonder that the first thing that came to my mind when getting a cute summery goodie for the giveaway was the Don Fisher fish bags. I hope you like the one we chose!

Another thing I love about summer is how it’s the season for lots of yummy fruits: pineapples, peaches, watermelons, you name it! Even my work colleagues make fun of me of how I prefer fruit over any other possible snack; specially in summer my body craves for them in all possible ways: smoothies, juice, ice-cream or just natural. So when I saw the fruit edition of the super kawaii Sonny Angels my eyes (and hands) were laid upon them and a minute after we left the store with another giveaway gift. In addition it is a blindbox, extra fun!

Okay so many things to love about Summer, I guess I love feeling warm, maybe even feeling too warm and then thinking of ways to cool down, like going for a swim or eating iceblocks or cold showers :)

Going to the farm makes me think of summer. I have a share at a local farm so when the summer comes it means weekly trips to pick up our produce. It sometimes means even picking things in the fields like strawberries, peas, beans, and tomatoes.
Warm weather and longer days makes me think summer has finally arrived!

I live in Ireland but I am from Mallorca, so I guess I have an inner clock that tells me it’s time to feel the rocks under my naked feet, the salt drying on my skin, the sound of the waves… until then, though, I am happy with the icecream in the park, the bright nights in the beer gardens and finding some sweet apricots :) that’s the Irish summer!

The Longer Warmer Days!
Warm weather makes me think of summer
The long days with daylight!!
I live close to a gelato place that offers 120 different flavours. I think of summer whenever I walk through the gelateria’s doors (it’s quite often) and try to decide what flavour combination I would like to enjoy.
The smell of salt water always brings me back to walking along the pier in summer, as well as the smell of freshly made waffle cones.
So many things… smells, heat, summer fruit (watermelon!). I love summer !
I love to wake up and have the light of sun pointed on my face…I love to put a mattress on the grass and feel my skin becoming hot…
Farmer’s markets makes me think of summer!
When the green on my campus becomes filled daily with students studying/reading/playing.

Summertime to me is late night bonfires, having a constant rotation of cold brew coffee and fresh squeezed lemonade, and the smell of sunscreen.
Summertime means cicados, junebugs, the smell of honeysuckles, road trips because me and my friends aren’t in school, summer outdoor concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheater, driving around to yardsales, lemonade or lemonade slushies.
The thing that makes me think of summer is sitting in the spring sun, eating icecream even thou it’s still way too cold for it. Just trying to wish summer into existance a bit earlier!
What I think about summer is bikinis, and relaxing at the beach! :)
